ABGP- Awakening & Empowering Movement


Though Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP) got formalized as a legal entity in the year 1974, the seeds of this movement got germinated years ago. The core ideology of Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat differed from the global outlook. Where the global consumer movement emphasized on buying and selling of products, ABGP put consumers at the epicenter in whose absence no transaction may ever take place. The importance of consumers shall be duly established if we wish to provide her/him proper justice related to financial transactions made by her/him. It not only added economic sense to this national movement, but also laid due stress on extending adequate opportunities and avenues for her/him to earn and safeguarding outflow of her/his money in the market. The underlying message was that whatever s/he is purchasing shall be value for money every paisa. It acted as a paradigm shift for the whole world and changed the perceptions and perspectives in due course of time.

To establish consumers at the epicenter so that every measure, initiative, and drive initiated by any and every stakeholder of the economy; be it private players or governmental agencies, shall encompass the best interests of the consumers during all times. And to ensure that every law pertaining to consumers' interests must be implemented wholly and holistically so that its objective is fulfilled.
